PRV SCADABLOX

Pre-Engineered PRV Control Panel for Local Control and SCADA Integration

What This Panel Does

PRV SCADABLOX is built for one pressure reducing valve site that requires local monitoring, open/close solenoid control, alarm handling, and SCADA-ready communication.

The panel provides a standardized control point between the field equipment, local OIT, and future or existing SCADA system.

Pressure Monitoring

Monitors upstream and downstream pressure signals for local display, alarming, and SCADA visibility.

Solenoid Control

Provides open/close solenoid control for PRV site operation when paired with the correct field setup.

Local OIT Control

Gives operators a door-mounted interface for site status, alarms, and control functions.

SCADA-Ready Communication

Prepared for Ethernet-based SCADA integration over the selected network medium.

What’s Included

Each PRV SCADABLOX package includes the core hardware, programming, terminal layout, and documentation needed to support one PRV site. The panel is built as a standardized package so field wiring, local control, and SCADA integration can follow a clear and repeatable structure.

Control Hardware

  • PLC

Preloaded with the standard PRV control program.

  • Door-Mounted OIT/HMI

Provides local monitoring, status, alarms, and control functions.

  • Managed Ethernet Switch

Provides organized Ethernet communication inside the panel.

  • Power Supply

Provides control power for the panel components.

Field Wiring and Protection

  • Labeled Terminal Blocks

Clearly marked landing points for field equipment and site signals.

  • Surge Protection

Helps protect panel equipment from electrical disturbances.

  • NEMA 4 Enclosure

20" x 16" x 8" enclosure designed for industrial field installation.

  • Ethernet-Ready Communication Port

Prepared for connection into the selected communication path.

Programming & Documentation

  • PRV Control Program

Base logic prepared for one PRV site with pressure monitoring, alarms, and open/close solenoid control.

  • Panel Drawings

Documentation showing the panel layout and wiring structure.

  • Terminal Schedule

Clear landing reference for field wiring and site signals.

  • Startup Checklist

Step-by-step reference for installation and commissioning.

Optional add-ons, such as battery backup, can be selected separately when available.

Standard I/O and Control Points

PRV SCADABLOX is prepared around the common monitoring, alarm, and control points used at a single PRV site. Field devices land on the provided terminal points according to the included terminal schedule and wiring documentation.

    • Upstream pressure transmitter

    • Downstream pressure transmitter

    • Valve position feedback

    • Valve open command

    • Valve close command

    • Open/close solenoid control

    • Intrusion alarm

    • Flood alarm

    • Low battery alarm

    • Communication fail alarm

    • Solar or battery monitoring

    • Panel/system status

    • Communication status

Final point naming, display labels, and SCADA tags are organized in the included PLC tag list and documentation package.

Field Installation Path

PRV SCADABLOX is designed so the field installer has a clear path from equipment wiring to local control. The panel arrives with labeled terminal points and documentation showing where each PRV site signal should land. After field wiring, power, and communication are connected, the site can be operated locally through the door-mounted OIT and prepared for SCADA integration.

1. Mount the Panel

Install the NEMA 4 enclosure at the PRV site according to the project requirements and local installation standards.

2. Land Field Wiring

Terminate the pressure transmitters, valve feedback, solenoid control, alarms, and site signals on the labeled terminal points.

3. Verify Local Operation

Use the door-mounted OIT to view pressures, alarms, valve status, and control functions.

4. Start Local Control or Connect to SCADA

Use the door-mounted OIT to monitor and control the PRV site locally. If the site is part of a larger SCADA system, connect Ethernet communication into the selected network path for remote monitoring and control.

Includes:

  • PLC/OIT control

  • Labeled terminal landing points

  • Upstream and downstream pressure monitoring

  • Open/close solenoid control
